[AsiaNet] Linshu: Promote Standardized Production of White-feathered Broiler[AsiaNet] Linshu: Promote Standardized Production of White-feathered Broiler -- It aims to build 10-billion-yuan-level industry cluster AsiaNet 0200372 LINSHU, China Sept 12, 2024 /AsiaNet=연합뉴스/-- In recent years, Linshu County has focused on the development of its characteristic agricultural industries, actively carried out the "Three Products and One Standard" enhancement initiative in agricultural production, and implemented standardized production models. The county has vigorously cultivated large-scale breeding and processing bases for white-feathered broilers, aiming to create a 10-billion-yuan-level industry cluster. The white-feathered broiler industry is a distinctive sector in Linshu County. It originated in the late 1980s, initially taking root in northern towns such as Qingyun and Yushan by primarily utilizing rudimentary ground-level chicken coops for free-range farming. Driven by livestock support policies and led by industry leaders, this practice has gradually spread throughout the county. Over nearly four decades of development, the scale of breeding has undergone a tremendous change, with annual output increasing from 1 million to nearly 100 million chickens. Breeding method has also evolved from the rudimentary ground bedding free-range system to the current multi-layered, facility-based modern breeding. The county has basically formed a comprehensive industry chain that integrates chick incubation, large-scale breeding, feed production, slaughtering and processing, packaging and cold storage, cooked food processing, organic fertilizer production, inspection and testing. Currently, Linshu County is home to 45 white-feathered broiler breeding enterprises, with the total output value exceeding 10 billion yuan. The rapid development of Linshu County white-feathered broiler industry has served as a model to drive the development of pig, cattle, sheep, and duck farming and promote the integration of crop and livestock farming. The county has also developed a diverse agricultural industry centered around blueberries, wickerwork, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and edible mushrooms. The county has created an agricultural industry development pattern of "East blueberries, West Wickerwork, North Melons, South Beans, Central Edible Mushrooms, and White-feathered Broilers throughout the region," further advancing the development of agricultural industries in rural revitalization.
